Becoming a volunteer at Ekam is a profound opportunity to earn enormous good karma. We warmly welcome you to join us in seva (service), where your dedication not only contributes to Ekam’s mission but also nurtures your own personal growth.

SEVA OPPORTUNITIES AT EKAM CAMPUSES

Here are the seva opportunities available at Ekam campuses. Dependent on the needs of the campuses, you will be assigned a specific seva during your volunteering period.

1. Ekam Sanctum Seva
-Assisting with pooja preparations and flower decorations
-Guiding seekers during prayer, meditation, and ceremonies
-Providing support with translation equipment.
-Translating from English to regional languages
-Capturing moments through photography

2. Ekam Dining Hall Seva
– Serving food to seekers with care and devotion

3. Ekam Kitchen Seva
– Assisting with food preparation tasks, such as vegetable cutting and cleaning

4. Ekam Boutique Seva
– Supporting the sale of Ekam products to visitors and seekers

5. Ekam Social Media Seva
– Contributing to Ekam’s online presence through design and editing for social media.

6. Ekam Prachar (Outreach) seva
– Welcoming and orienting visitors, providing guidance and information about Ekam

7. Ekam Music Seva
– Contributing through singing or playing musical instruments for ceremonies and events

Each seva is a valuable contribution, allowing you to serve with dedication and devotion, while enriching the Ekam community.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR SEVA

1. Dress Code
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Tops should have sleeves (half, three-quarter, or full), and bottoms should extend at least to the knee.

2. Sacredness and Cleanliness
Smoking, alcohol, and any form of narcotics are strictly prohibited on campuses. Maintain cleanliness and a sense of sacredness.

3. Punctuality
Please make it a practice to arrive on time for all scheduled seva activities. Your timely presence supports the flow of our collective efforts.

4. Embrace the Spirit of Seva
Engage wholeheartedly in your seva with dedication and focus. During designated breaks, feel free to take care of any personal needs, but let your seva time remain a period of mindful service.

5. Nurture a Positive Environment
Support the ashram atmosphere by refraining from gossip, criticism, or negative conversations, and focus on fostering kindness and harmony in all interactions.
